DroidFresh - The Galaxy Note 4 is finally getting Android 5.0 Lollipop on AT&T. The update started rolling out Monday night, but wasn’t confirmed by the carrier until Tuesday morning.
The update, which jumps straight to Android 5.0.1, brings a new version of Google’s software along with tweaks to Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. It adds a few new features as well, including Find My Mobile and Reactivation Lock along with some general stability improvements. Lollipop also adds interactive notifications on the lockscreen and improved Smart Lock security features.
You should be able to download Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 right now by heading to Settings>General>About device>Software updates. Unfortunately we still don’t know when the update will hit Verizon and T-Mobile devices (it already hit Sprint), though recent reports suggest the delay could have something to do with extra Gear VR optimizations included in the new software. Hopefully after today’s release it won’t take long for the remaining carriers to get onboard as well.
